Let’s just open up this can-o’-worms here and get it over with. Armor: the cosplayer’s arch-nemesis. Not to worry, there are several ways to make it and we try to keep to the most inexpensive materials possible while not sacrificing accuracy too much. Still, even trying to keep material costs down, this can -and probably will- get expensive.

Armor can be made out of just about anything a regular Prop can, with one major difference: you’ll be wearing it. So one of the biggest issues surrounding armor making is weight. Some people choose to make it look awesome even if it ends up being 90lbs. We will work mostly on an individual basis with customers to pinpoint exactly what balance of cost and comfort they’d like. Some armor needs to be fitted very precisely, so as per form-fitting costumes, a duct-tape dummy may be requested in order to guarantee fit and comfort.
Note: there are some pieces of armor that are beyond our ability to make. We apologize, but we know our limits and things like FF XII armor is pretty much out of the question, at least for now.
